Wow. It took Sony this long to basically just 'copy' Live (and not even all of it - just small portions).

Too little too late, I say.

We still have a few codes left. Hurry up! ;)

Yeah, but I don't have any PSN codes to give away. ;)

This is set for a Japan-only release & won't be able to pick up regular TV stations (just digital SEG1 broadcasts). So who cares?

Which is only available to 360 users who have a media center PC - which I don't believe is the majority.

Never. The article title is misleading.

It depends on the source. Some game journalists and even entire sites are known to be 'pro' one system over another or seem to push games from some devs/publishers more than others.

I think readers can tell if the journalist doing the reporting is objective or not.

I always try to be as objective as possible. I have received free game copies for review before, but do my best to not let it influence my review scores. In fact, some of the games I've received f...

I generally try to not buy into the whole 'console war' and feel that gamers should select the console they feel fits them best, but I must admit that Greenberg does make some very good points.

Sony has a well documented history of over-promising & under delivering. All the 'great' things the PS3 is supposed to offer have seen delay after delay after delay - and as Greenberg pointed out, the PS3 really hasn't had almost any boost in sales since bly-ray won the format war. ...

He lies outright & implies that the level of detail involved rivals that of a porno.

Again, sorry Jack, but no. You're a moron.

6504d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Now he's trying to convince people that selling an M rated game to a minor is a crime?

Sorry Jack, but that's BS & you know it. Video game ratings are NOT law - just like movie ratings are not law.

I agree that minors shouldn't be buying the game w/o parental consent, but even if they buy without consent, it's not illegal.

The lawsuit he mentions against Rockstar will fail miserably. Think about it. If they find Rockstar responsible th...

LMAO. What prediction? Home HAS been delayed yet again - until Autumn of this year (i.e. 4th quarter of the year).

That's not a prediction - it's FACT.

P.S. The 360 has been fixed. Do your research.

SL1M DADDY, you are a fool if you honestly think that stuff doesn't go on in every online gaming community - not just Live. It was simply featured on Live, becuase Live is the largest online community there is - by FAR.

Since people must pay for Live, however, these issues, while prevalent, are less prevalent than I've experienced on PS3. Part of that is due to the fact that people don't want an online account they pay for to get perma-banned.

6511d ago 6 agree11 disagreeView comment

The 'good' is that these accounts are still out there & being used.

Don't you wonder why MS doesn't care/doesn't do something to block them?

Do they NEED to be charging $50/year for Live? The article was meant to provoke thought on that issue.

6511d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Oh man. Don't get me started on gas prices! lol

I agree though - $50/year is less than .13 cents per day. Most people 'waste' that much money on snacks/sodas/other crap anyway.

And for the PS3 fans touting home.... Will it ever arrive? It's just been delayed yet again (and will do nothing to alleviate the problems PSN has due partly to it being free).

6511d ago 3 agree8 disagreeView comment

The point is that there are a bunch of free Live Gold accounts out there & MS doesn't seem to mind/care. Either they've decided to just let this small group get away with it & not care, or they truly don't need to be charging $50/year for Live.

Personally, I don't mind paying it. I think having Live as a pay service keeps out a lot of the 'rif-raff' you find on the PlayStation network (& yes, I'm speaking from 1st hand experience), but many consider the fee unju...

Good call on XIII. I still need to finish that game. LOL I like the style, I just got too 'busy' w/ ohter games at the time & never got back to it.

PSI Ops was OK too, but I just never played it beyond the demo.

Get a grip people. This is not as huge a deal as you're all making it out to be.

Will it help drive PS3 sales? I'm sure it will to a degree, but not to the point where the PS3 will suddenly overtake the 360 in sales - no freakin' way. It's too far behind.

Too many gamers this gen already have their system of choice. No 360 owner will get the bundle just to have the same game on the PS3.

So, to sum up, big frickin hairy deal! Who cares!?

6525d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Oh they are. The next C&C RTS is coming in June (360/PS3 - already out for PC).

IMO, the article author is overlooking the VERY obvious. Clearly, they stopped with these programs until they could get gamerscore cheating under control.

Now that they have, and the first batch of culprits has been appropriately punished, perhaps they can start up with them again.

I don't blame Old Spice or any of the other companies involved one bit, if they asked (or demanded) MS fix the gamerscore cheating before any more promotions tied to gamerscore.

NOT "in game". This post has a misleading title to draw attention.

The thing that they are showing is a demo - not a game at all.

It's by the demogroup Plastic.
